More sport

I only had to wait a week after Rio 2016 finished and now it's time for the final Grand Slam tournament of the tennis season.

Here's another buddy, Harry, and I listening to the BBC coverage of the US Open.

Well played Kyle Edmund and paws crossed for Johanna Konta, playing shortly.

PS It's not a good idea to sit this close to a screen if you're not a soft toy.

Counting down ...

What another fabulous day for TeamGB at the Rio Olympics.

Huge congratulations to the Brownlee brothers, Gold and Silver in the triathlon.

Congratulations too to Golden girls Jade Jones and sailors Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark.

Plus a Silver in the kayaking and a Bronze in the badminton (beating badminton aces, China)

All this and my hero Usain Bolt remains on course for the Treble Treble after victory in the 200 metres.

I’m loving it!

But commiserations to Adam Gemili - so close to a medal. Sending hugs.

GB's best ever day at an Away Games

I was right about records being broken!

Andy Murray becomes the first person to win two Olympic Gold medals in tennis back to back. He did it in some style too against a really tough opponent in Juan-Martin del Potro (four nail-biting sets).

Barnaby and Morris went to bed but I stayed up to watch it.  It didn't finish till after one o'clock in the morning which is why I'm quite late posting this. (I didn't get up very early!)

Earlier Max Whitlock won another Gold on the pommel horse, Louis Smith won Silver, GB got Gold and Silver in the cycling (Men's sprint) and Justin Rose won the first Gold medal in golf in 112 years. (after scoring the first Olympics hole-in-one earlier in the tournament.)

It was Great Britain's most successful day at an Away Olympics and we're now second in the medal table.

All this and Usain Bolt won Gold in the 100 metres meaning he's on course for the treble treble (three gold medals in three successive Olympics in THREE events).

Now that's inspiring!

Record-breaking Olympics

Wow Rio 2016 is seeing loads of firsts and breaking so many records.

Here I am pretending to be Olympic Champion Max Whitlock:

GB's first ever medal on the floor and it's GOLD.

Delighted too for Kenya on winning their first ever Women's Marathon and especially Monica Puig for winning Puerto Rico's first Olympic medal (also GOLD) in the Women's tennis.  Really special that it was a South American winner at the first Olympics hosted in South America.

As I said above so many firsts.

Now paws crossed for Max Whitlock and Louis Smith on the pommel horse and Andy Murray in the Men's tennis and Usain Bolt's up later too!  Will more records be made/broken?

What a Super Sunday of Sport.

Will

PS Hugs to Angelique Kerber. You played really well and should be proud of your silver medal.

Olympic tennis

I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to see if Andy Murray will be playing Rafael Nadal or Juan-Martin Del Potro in tomorrow's men's final
